Can the 21sf accept the older G21 mags? Also where can one buy 13 rnd mags pinned to ten rnds? Probably none in Canada due to the US export rules.
My new ten round mags are very difficult to load even with the loader. Furthermore with a full mag in the pistol, using the ambi mag release to drop the mag requires two hands! If there is only nine in the mag then it works almost as well as the normal release. Hoping to swap the ambi to a nor al mag release if it is possible.

The 21 and 21SF mags are interchangeable, but you if you have the ambi release on your gun you NEED the corresponding ambi mags for it to work properly.

The G21 ambi mags have a little cut out in the polymer coating that has to be there for the release to work. Search Google for "G21 ambi magazine" and you'll see what I mean.

You CAN cut your older "non-ambi" mags to work with your gun, or at least some people have with success.

Glock mags are notoriously hard to load, leaving some ammo in them for a couple of months might help.

What about changing the ambi mag release to a normal mag release: is it possible?

Just did some research and it is not possible. The ten round mags seem to be part of the problem according to others. as for the ambi release itself, some dislike it and some like it; I am in the former catagory.
Sometimes the lever catches and I cannot push it in. If I wiggle it forward or backwards and then push it in it will go in to release the mag. Definately not for me but I have put fifty rounds down the barrel so taking it back is out of the question. I have heard of Glock Talk about this problem subsequent to purchasing the pistol and one fellow sent it to Smyrna where Glock worked on it and sent it back. We are out of luck in Canada as the pistol couldn't be sent back across the border. Oh Canada!
