Just wondering if the Advantage Arms .22 conversion for the Glock has polygonal rifling? I know there is a lot of talk out there about not shooting lead in a stock Glock barrel due to the build up of lead causing kaboom issues. I personally think it's overblown but stay away from shooting lead in my Glock just in case. I am looking to buy a .22 conversion for my Glock and about half of all the .22 ammo I currently own is lead.

As "B" said, you will be fine. In the 22 barrels, I think you would be finding cut rifling for the most part. Further to this, the rifling is usually less pronounced than that found in barrels which shoot centerfire rounds. Lastly, most 22 manufacturers put a light lubricant coating on their 22 bullets (similar to beeswax).

Well just in case your not aware, your options of ammo are limited to two brands that I know of. First off 40 grains and second. Remington Gold bullets and cci mini mag. I have the 22 kit. It is well worth it but thats the only ammo that will function in the gun.

Mine shoots fine with whatever cheap crap I feed it. It took a bit of breaking in but it tolerates and cycles fine with whatever I stuff into it.

Your lucky because mine wont and it even told me in the manual that it feeds best with the gold bullets. Maybe if I pump 500 plus rounds through it. Its still pretty new. maybe 200 rounds. A buddy of mine had the same issues with his.

Mine is still pretty new and only cycles properly with 40 grain mini mags. I can use bulk federal in it but it will have FTE's. I have seen quite a few posts saying the barrel builds up lead pretty quick with non copper washed ammo.

Knowing Mike his is likely very well broken in. :)

I broke mine in with a few hundred CCI mini mags. It was a bit temperamental at first, but settled right down after a while.

Well I have to shoot mine more because it would be cool to shoot different types of ammo through the gun. That was the whole point of getting it in the first place. Cheap practice. Not that the mini mags are expensive ,but where I am they are not always readily available.
