Does anyone own a .22 conversion for a Glock 17/22 who can comment on reliability etc.? Mostly I'm wondering if the .22 can cycle the action of the conversion kit reliably but any other thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks.

Yes the .22lr can cycle the action. These conversion units recommend the brands of ammo to use, very easy and affordable, just use the recommended ammo which is redably available.

I'm running an Advantage Arms conversion 17/22 LE conversion kit. It was a bit gimpy for the first couple of mags through it when I first shot it, but after that it ran reliably. I've been feeding it CCI Mini Mags as well.

Another vote for the Advantage arms kit.

It's a great trainning aid, you can practice your drills (reload/double tap/draw/weak-strong hand...) and have some trigger time for very little $$.

Some people will/might question the economic value of such a purchase since you could probably buy a nice used 22lr pistol for the same money... but to each his own. I like mine.

The kit can easily keep 10 rounds under 1" at 20 yards... So I guess I still need more pratice on my draw-double taps.

I have a G20 with a Advantage Arms 22lr conversion kit. I have had excellent results with reliability and accuracy and would highly recommend it.

I average about 1 1/2" to 2 1/2" 25 yard groups with several different types of 22lr ammo.

I find the higher velocity rounds work best.

If you send me a pm with your email address I will send you a short video clip of my son shooting the G20 with the A/A 22lr conversion kit installed.

Or if someone knows how to post video clips I'll send it to them so everyone can see.

If you are looking for more opinions do a subject search on this within this site. You will find a large number of earlier responses as this subject seems to pop up frequently in this forum. AA is by far the choice amongst users. No sense in reinventing the wheel unless folks are looking to increase their own message count:rolleyes: .
