Glock 22 for IPSC

I used to shoot a G17 then switched to a G22 with downloaded ammo. I prefer the recoil of the downloaded 40 to the snappier feel of the factory 9mm. If I wasnt reloading, I would probably shoot a G17 9mm though.

That said, I havent shot for about a year (busy busy with work) but when I try to start up again, I will be giving the SP-01 and a Tanfoglio a try. I don't know if they will fit me well but they both have good reputations. Like Omen said, try as many guns as you can and make your decision based on that rather than what someone tells you to use or what the champs use (again, Omen's Tiger Woods analogy is a good one)

You should try down loading your 9mm and compare the two....
I'm convinced 9mm is the way to go.

Have you met with any of the other revolver shooters from IPSC Ontario?

Hugh, Bernie, Paul, Rodney, Alf...and the ist goes on.

They are pretty determined to get their numbers and participation up. If they find out you have a revolver...don't worry...you won't have time to shoot a Glock :p

Hugh ( six pack) shoot with me in the same club and i have shot with him in a few shoots now but for the other guys i dont know them

i have a S&W 686 i shoot ipsc revolver class
i also have CZ 97 S&W 27 and the one im using now for production is a CZ75-B 9mm i love it but i hate lowering that dam hammer so i can start the first shot double action

My son and I are awaiting our Black Badge course. Somewhere. Sometime. And then we will start shooting IPSC.

We set up for revolvers first with a GP101 and a SW 686-2, etc.

And then will worry about the rest... too many and too confusing. I have a 1640 Limited Para sitting in the safe just waiting. Think is like new; don't think it has had a hundred rounds through it if any.
