hi guys,

i just bought an OD glock 22. great pistol and i love it.

one minor issue tho, the mag doesnt eject when the slide is locked back. either empty or full. when the slide is foward the mags eject flawlessly. just when the pistol is empty after firing it doesnt eject.

is there a fix for this?

thanks,

Does that happen with one particular mag or all mags? I had a defective 1911 mag that wouldn't eject with the slide forward because the follower was cut incorrectly.

its the mags that came with the pistol. i would assume its factory coz it has glock stamped all over it

both mags that came with the pistol does the same thing

With slide closed the mag spring will push the mag out.
With slide open there is only gravity pushing the mag down. Tight fitting mags?

If you have "riveted" reduced capacity mags, make sure you dremel the back of the rivet flat with the magazine. I've seen that a couple times.

Hope this helps.:D

I agree, sounds like tight fitting mags.

If they are the factory 10 round mags:

Spray mag body with 'Ballistol' then give it a quick scrub around with some fine steel wool and wipe dry. It should drop free now :)

ur mag is factory or OEM? quote

factory is oem. Oem= Original Equipment Manufacturer.

From what I understand there are some Glock mags that do not drop free. Made from the factory that way. I had one that did the same thing. measured it and found out that it was just a little thicker than the rest so I sanded it down and it works great now.

this is why I wont ever buy a glock, the mags are plastic so they fall out slowly. almost in slow motion

I had the same problem with a couple of mags a year or 2 ago. Turned out they were not the drop free/metal lined and swelled slightly when fully loaded:mad:. Became a real pain in the nether region if doing a tactical reload or in general just a mag change. Solved by using drop free mags but u can try the other methods listed above.
Cheers:)

If you use an excuse like you wont buy a glock because the mags dont fall out fast enough for you... than you're not glock worthy ;)

And yeah... I heard about just sanding down the mags a little bit too.

I also heard that an easy way to tell is leave one round in the magazine and than see if the magazine drops out. If it drops out than yeah the magazines are just in too tight.

Also @DaBear... metal ligned? I have a second hand glock and all mags appear to be metal ligned so unless Im missing something some clarification would be appreciated... thanx.
