Just curious if dry firing ( alot?) can actually damage the firearm (and how?)..and should the trigger 'spring back' towards the muzzle when pulled while dry firing instead of staying back towards the grip?
thanks

thanks thats what I thought..as I said the trigger seems to stay back and I have to rack the slide a bit to get the trigger to go forward again after every time I df it...
thx

that is completely normal! that is how you #### the trigger...

Glock Trigger Reset...

It's called the 'trigger reset'... When you are actually shooting a Glock & you master that 'trigger reset' you will find out how accurate the Glock can be. :D

As NAA says...
You will also find that if you are firing live ammo and have good finger technique, when you release the trigger after firing.. you will feel it reset without having to let the trigger go all the way forward to its origional position.
Another trick is that when your slide is all the way back and you insert a new mag.. give the bottom of the new mag a "bump" ( magnum PI style) and the slide will close for you.. dont have to use the slide release.( just be absolutley sure you finger is off the trigger)

Glocks are far from the prettiest guns out there, but they are still my favorite.

Unlike with a tradition sa/da pistol where you can keep on pulling the trigger over and over and it goes click every time, with the Glock, you need to "re-####" it after each dry fire shot. That's perfectly normal. Also note just how little slide movement is needed to get it to reset, you don't need to move it back than a cm or so - certainly not all the way ;)
