Gents,

I have been shooting competitively now with a Glock 22 in 40 s&w.

My question is this, I would like to purchase the stainless guide rod and new spring. But I am conflicted as to which spring is best. I would like to stay as close to stock as possible.

Google shows it having a stock 16# spring, of course all I can find is 11, 13,15 and 17.

I reload my ammo, and it cycles excellent. 165gr Campro with 3.6gr of clays getting me a nice subsonic round. But I’d like to be able to run factory ammo too for runs that need a little more punch.

Any assistance would be appreciated. I suspect I will be in the 15/17 pound range, is there a huge difference between the 2?

Thank you

Go to Wolff Gun springs and it shows the stock setting for your Glock, then you can pick if you want OEM spring tension( I think it's 17 lbs but not 100% sure), tighter or looser. The have lots to choose from.

Recoil springs are cheap insurance so having a few spares is always a good idea. And if you handload having a few extra in +1, +2, and -1, -2 can be very handy.
