So I've been trying to figure out what's going on with my new G26, as it shoots high and right. Doesn't matter who shoots it, left or right handed, offhand or bagged, short mags or long, it is consistently way off the bull. My G17 hits right on point of aim at this range with me shooting, and while I'm no pro shooter I am sorta proficient with the Glock trigger. Sights are stock Glock (6.5mm rear) daylight sights.

Here are a couple of typical targets from the other night. Sight picture is a 6 o'clock hold on the bull, range is 50 feet/17yds and a mix of shooters (I shoot left handed, everyone else shot right)...

So then I notice a wee wear mark on the top of the barrel (red circle), and a bit of a shiny spot on the edge right in front of it (cyan circle, but can't really see it in the pic)...

...and this corresponds with a bit of a rolled/curled edge on the inside of the slide...

Would it be possible for this little imperfection in the slide to tilt the barrel enough to move the point of impact? If so could I try to remove the ridge, or is this something that should be looked at by someone much smarter than me? Or is it a totally unrelated problem that's causing this?

Any other thoughts or analysis welcome.

I would have it looked at by a certified Glock Armorer, would be my advice in regards to any possible flaw. If it is a flaw send it back to Glock. If it is not a flaw then you maybe be able to fix your current issue with some simple modifications.

I would suggest replacing the front sight and adjusting your rear sight over to the left as much as possible and see if that makes any change/improvement.

The other option is get a fully adjustable rear sight along w a new front sight. Then adjust the sights to hit a point of aim. As it is obviously not just your shooting based on the fact that several shooters have all had the same results.

If replacing the sights doesn't work ..send it back to Glock because you've done all you can possibly do and there is some sort of issue with it. Whether it is the imperfection you are speaking of or not.

Hope this helps !!

Not a 12.6 unfortunately. :( It's an IGB barrel, which might be the problem also.

I'm going to head to the Big City and meet up with another 26 owner and swap things around. That way I can eliminate each variable and know for sure if it's the slide, barrel or shooter.

There's nothing wrong with your Glock. The wear marks you indicate are normal and have no effect on performance. Try benching the gun(ideally in a ransom rest) with several shooters behind the trigger. The issue is likely the operator(s). The short frame takes some getting used to.
