Glock 3.5# connector

I have previously owned a glock 17, but didn't like the trigger and ended up selling it. But now through a chain of weird events, I have found another glock 17 in my posession. Now I know that everyone says that you must spend a good amount of time with the glocks in order to get use to the trigger pull, but my question today is whether the 3.5# connector makes a significant difference in the pull?
 
By itself it does make a difference, and when coupled with a reduced power striker(firing pin) spring, it brings it down to about a 4lb pull. Personally I like them..

It lightens the final trigger pull, but won't reduce take up, or that spongy feel that Glocks are famous for...:p . Just kidding. It might be worth it if you don't like the standard 5lb connector. I prefer the NY trigger spring w/ stock connector, because it eliminates that two-stage feel.
 
The problem with the Glock trigger isn't the weight... well, it's not just the weight. It's mostly the creep. The 3.5# trigger is actually creepier than stock. I prefer the crisper stock connector.
 
The creep generally don't bother me. It's just that it seems like such a LONG creep compared to other triggers. Not to mention I feel (which may not be true) that it is a heavier pull than all my other pistols.

If you guys don't like the spongy feel of your Glock triggers, use the 3.5# connector and the NY1 trigger spring. IMO its the perfect trigger for a Glock, I have this combo on all three of my Glocks and it makes the trigger quite a bit better, more info on Glock talk about this combo, not alot of guys seem to like this combo up here, in the States guys love it.
 
Or..questar's adjustable trigger, and the 3.5# disconnector.
I can't find any oem 3.5 disconnectectors anywhere now, only the aftermarkets. I've had a ghost rocket 3.5 but it's been through so many rounds that the initial bend/angle that it was created in has worn out.

I would like to try either the glock or the scherer and get the questar adjustable trigger for the creep.

Just because I'm always looking for something else to do with the glock.
 
Travel on the Glock trigge ris only .5 inches. It can feel like a lot more with that noticed creep. I have an OEM 3.5 and like it. The follow up shots are a little faster and a little smoother but other than that I hardly notice the difference between 3.5 and 5.5.

If you want a nice clean two and half pound trigger get the kit made by Ralph Sotelo. You can read about it on the Brian Enos web page.He will not ship to Canada but some dealers will send it up. It cost $55 US and is drop in. I think it is the best value for your money.I done the triger myself on my Glock19 it breaks clean at 3 pounds and i like it but honestly it is not worth the time you put into it when you can buy the parts already done for $55.The kit i got from Ralph droped into my 34 and weighed just under 2 pounds.
 
A good way of sorting out the trigger a bit is polishing up all of the trigger parts and striker tip with a dremel and a bit of polish. this will smoothen it out noticable the only thing is you have to do a detailed strip of the pistol.
