I'm looking to try some new cartridges in pistols, looking toward 40s&w and .357sig. I have a Glock 17 and love it. Want to go a little bit smaller in size, I saw the Glock 23 and the 32. I am reading in a lot of place that to switch from 40sw to 357sig in Glocks is to change the barrel.I know that 357sig cartridge fit in the Glock 22 magazine and vice versa but is there anything the separates these pistols in parts or is it only the barrels that differs. Should I buy a Glock 23 or 32?

I have two 19's and two 23's. This has been one of my areas of interest for years.

Realistically, the decision has already been made for you... as you will not find a GLOCK 32 in Canada.

Way back in the old days of Questar (like 5-6 years ago), they used to list pretty much all the GLOCK models as available for order. I think they may have listed a GLOCK 32, but I don't know if any were imported... or how many. I can tell you that in the last 6 years I have never seen a GLOCK 32 advertised for sale in Canada... new or used... on any website, in any store. Nor have I ever seen one at a range in Canada.

Other than Questar, the only other place that is bringing in compact GLOCKs at all (that I am aware of) is Sporteque, and they don't list the GLOCK 32 ontheir site either. You could try importing one from the U.S. yourself, but you would have to get the 106mm barrel installed prior to importation.

The good news is, at least my understanding is that the GLOCK 23 and 32 are the same gun, just a different barrel. There are lots of GLOCK 23's in Canada and Questar has a .357SIG barrel for them (Storm Lake). GLOCK has mags marked .40 or .357, but they are the same mags apart from the markings.

Barrel suggestion?

Thanks a lot for the information. I guess I have no choice but to go with the Glock 23. One last thing any idea on good aftermarket barrel for Glock for 357 sig ?
