Hi,

Just wondering if anybody has any news about the arrival / availability of the Glock 40 (obviously the 10mm Auto, not 40 S&W) in Canada?

Thanx.

They are coming in slowly but surely. CSC had them and so did Wanstalls. Though not on Wanstalls site any more so must have sold during the 20% off sale.

Hi,

As I recall it means "Modular Optical System", meaning the rear of the slide (where the rear sight usually sits) has a cut-out into which mounts fit, allowing you to mount specific optical systems. This ensures a secure fit, lower profile, and possibly easier to carry in a holster.

Other members may be able to provide more info, but hope this helps.

There is only one Glock 40 and that is the MOS version. I recently received mine after about a five week wait, after ordering, which was well worth it as it's an excellent pistol.

Hi kidcom,

Had a look at the pictures. Where did you buy yours?

Just as a side note, the 3 Glock pistols in 10mm Auto which I have owned (all 3rd Gen, 1x G29 and 2x G20) would feed and fire 40S&W ammo reliably, as long as it was not a mild reload. I used Blue Dot and Auto Comp in the 40 S&W reloads, mainly 180gr, but also some 200gr bullets), and then Win Ranger T-Series JHP 180gr factory ammo. It just feels like having a 38 Spl round in amongst a cylinder of 357 Mag when shooting

No he is talking about the 6" 10mm Glock. By far the creepiest one ;-)

FYI I had a gen 1 Glock 20 gen 1 - and even shot it in a match or two with it. I had deltas before that. The delta was a great gun but, of course, couldn't hold 10 rounds flush. Too bad or I'd still have it. It wasn't creepy at all - in fact a really well-engineered, class act.
