Hey everyone

I’ve been sort of trying to sort of hedge my bets for semi auto options with all the bans. I have a Glock 48 MOS that I’d like to get a carbine kit of some kind for.

I previously bought a CAA MCK gen 2 thinking it would work, but it only works for the Glock 48 non MOS version. The lower rail gets in the way.

Is there any good option available in Canada to work with this?

CAA MCK gen 3? Can’t find a Glock 48 MOS version anywhere.

Micro Conversion MX1? Says 70+ Glock models. Does that mean Glock 48 MOS also? Available anywhere in Canada?

Mech tech carbine upper? Can’t find a Glock 48 version and none hardly in Canada.

Recover tactical P-IX+? Can’t find a Glock 48 MOS version anywhere.

Recover tactical 20/20 stabilizer? Can’t find a Glock 48 MOS version anywhere.

AW customs VX carbine conversion? Only see airsoft ones and none for a Glock 48 MOS.

KPOS AMP micro RONI? Cant find a Glock 48 MOS version anywhere.

KIDON pistol conversion kit. Version K23 lists the Glock 48 MOS as an option. Expensive. Can we order from IMI defence?

Any other options or advice for direction I should be going here?

Thanks.

BT Glock USW kit is phenomenal

It's because the G48 is specifically designed for conceal carry and self defense and there are not many micro 9mm CCW pistols that are going into chassis systems, because it defeats the main purpose of a super slim format, concealable pistol. Most chassis are for full size duty pistols.
The Sig P365 has a Flux Raider kit for it now, but that is the only one I can think of for a micro 9 pistol with a stock or chassis attached.

It's a bit like lifting your sports car, why would you bother... but in your case, I understand why you're interested in it because you said your other rifles are banned.
However, I'd still suggest just leaving the G48 alone and buy a PCC or another actual rifle that isn't banned. Hell, why not do a shorty Crypto build in 5.56? It's not banned and if you put a 10.5" barrel, it'll be close to the size of most of the pistol conversion kits anyways, with way better performance and ergos.
Pistols will never out perform a rifle, except in very, very niche Mil or LE roles in confined spaces. The main benefit to a handgun is that it's small and easy to conceal or carry and the trade off being that they're harder to shoot accurately, less stable and have significantly less ballistic performance on target. So, if you transform your tiny pistol with a PCC kit, begs the question why not just have a rifle?

It’s not banned *yet*. Currently sick of chasing the next thing to get banned while having a small fortune in already banned things.

I understand that’s why it’s difficult to find the carbine chassis for these. But it’s what I have so I’m working with it.

There’s a few on the market.. just need to find one of them sold here really.

It’s not for overall performance. Purely a range toy.

Edit: also cost. A crypto build is nowhere in the same range.

That is entirely fair, Shawn. I get that. I am also tired of replacing banned items with more banned items. I do understand where you're coming from better with that context.
I hope you end up finding what you're after, I'm sure it would be fun to shoot!
