Glock 48, what sights option?

Is it worth paying about $150 more for the Glock 48 with Ameriglo Bold sights over the least expensive version with basic plastic sights? Or is it better to get the cheapest G48 and then upgrade the sights myself?

The compactness is why I personally want one, not a big fan of the typical Glock size/shape.

A good set of night sights will cost +$200 Canadian. So if you are going to upgrade you might as well just get the factory Ameriglos.

The Ameriglo sights as OEM on the Glock 48 is the way to go if you are looking for a sight upgrade.
Personally, the factory Glock sights are good enough, & at that price, its an unbeatable value.

I bought the Williams Fire Sight set on ebay for about $45 USD. I really like the improvement.

You may be pleasantly surprised. The 48 feels substantially different than any of the other Glocks I have owned. I find the 19, 17, & 34 ok, but the 48 felt right as soon as I picked it up. Full disclosure, I wear a medium glove, so have smaller hands than some.

I haven't shot a G48 but I have held them I find it to be one of the best sized handguns for the minuscule 9mm cartridge that is available in Canada.

I have owned semi-auto G19 - G23 - G20 - G29 - 1911's - Walther P38 and revolvers from 357 Mag to 454 Casull I wear size large to XL gloves so handle the grip size of all of them easily.

While I have no interest in ever owning a 9mm handgun ever again if I were to buy one it would be the G48.

I really see no need for night sights so I went with the Ameriglo DeFoor sight set in all steel and black, then just hit the front sight with blaze orange paint. Good visibility for under $50...

Why would you need night sights, if you are a operator maybe, Save the money for ammo, learn to shoot with standard glock sights, my 48 works fine with them. Good luck, nordic markman in nova scotia I think can get you any parts.

I have the 17 with ameriglo sights definitely worth the extra to upgrade 100% do it. after using them I ordered the same sights for my P226
