Glock barrels

Are aftermarket barrels worth it? I kind of want one for my g34 if only to try out a comp

Depends on what your looking to get out of it I guess, I’m my case I want to shoot handloads as well as cast bullets and not having a fully supported chamber is an issue. From what I read traditional rifling seems to be the way to shoot heavy cast loads vs Glock’s polygonal rifling, a threaded barrel was a bonus but I don’t think I’ll be running a brake/comp but nice to have the option. The added barrel length is nice as well.

Curious to see if there’s any accuracy improvement between factory and KKM barrels, I didn’t find the factory barrel to be inaccurate. If I was only shooting factory ammo I’d likely not bother, probably money better spent on a new trigger or just ammo.

My oem barreled gen 4 g22 digested powder coated cast lead loads just fine.... I haven't tried the gen 5 yet but it's got more edges to it. If you stay away from blazing hot and 19times fired brass you should be ok.

I have a KKM 34 G5 barrel I got from Black Box recently. I've only put about 100 rounds through it and haven't noticed much difference, but I'm also not a sport shooter or anything.

I think Black Box is sold out of all theirs now, but if anyone else is looking for barrels, or ones with a compensator, send me a DM and I'll let you know where some can still be ordered(Non site sponsor, can't link or write).

I put roughly 80-90 rounds of 10mm through mine for the first time yesterday, some hand loads and some factory. While shooting off a rest through the chrono I was pretty happy with accuracy, will have to compare it to the factory barrel at some point but the KKM shoots great. No noticeable bulge near the case head as well which is great, money well spent afaik.
