But for the price...couldn't you just get a Ruger MKII?

Yes but then you don't have a conversion unit for your GLOCK. And the Ruger does not feel like a GLOCK in your hand. I believe they function best with the non waxy type of .22 cartridges, you may have to try a few brands of ammo to find the one the conversion likes.
