I am looking at getting a Glock M 17 with night sights. I can get a new gen 3 with ny1 trigger for a LOT less than with a 5 lb trigger. However I want the 5 lb trigger. What would it cost to change the trigger?

That is pretty cheap. Thank you. Is it easy to install myself?

Cheaper still to go with the factory "5.5lb" setup if you can find the parts. Sporteque and Questar used to have them, as should your local LGS, but sometimes they'll surprise you.

Brownells will ship Glock OEM parts if they have them in stock.

All you would need is a Glock trigger spring which has been replaced with a ny1 trigger spring. The standard spring should cost ~$5

Right now you have this:

And you have to swap it out with this:

As mentioned by alpining above, that will give you the standard 5.5 lbs trigger weight. If you want 4-5 lbs then you will need to swap out the connector as well with a ghost 3.5 or 4.5

If you search youtube, you'll get a step by step video on how to swap them. It is fairly simple.
