Glock discontinuing production of most gen3/4/5 models until a replacement design takes over?

"Combat tupperware" is what the IPSC instructor called it when my friend showed up to the Black Badge course with a Glock. That gun ran perfectly all weekend.

I'm not a Glock guy so it doesn't matter to me that Glock management has decided to follow Bud Light down the drain.

I guess that little "block" they put on the back plate on the gen 5's didn't quell the lawsuits. Pussies.
With all the FRT/Super Safeties getting installed on SBR's and rifles down there, this does seem a little pointless. I mean, to me it looks like full auto is defacto legal now in most states, albeit through a legal loophole. The Glock switch was always illegal but does make your average gangster attempt moon shots after the first round probably saving lives lol.

Glock is going to lose quite a bit of business doing this. Gaston's patent expired a while ago and 3rd party clones will pick up the slack now more than ever. Heck, I own a few clones and the PSA I have shoots the same if not better.

Newscum’s ban on Glocks is certainly not about public safety as he has not offered an amnesty to criminals to turn in their glocks converted or not for compensation no questions asked. Newscum has found a work around of 2nd amendment rights and has in essence began another round of gun bans …Expect a Liberal government announcement in this country within weeks banning Glocks and requiring they be forfeited or confiscated…there is an agenda here folks …

Does it even matter? Glock's patent expired a long ago, there are so many aftermarket parts and clones being made by others, you can buy or build a pistol without using one single Glock manufacture part.

Manufacturers always bring out something new and discontinue older products. This announcement gives the wholesalers and dealers a chance to sell off discontinued models and lets the consumer know that when they're gone, they're gone. In the past, manufacturers have irked both wholesalers and dealers by not providing time to move product before changes were made.

My 2 & 3 gen Glocks will still be running long after I'm gone, so, personally, don't give a schmick about any proposed 'new' models.
