Hey there,
Just looking at my new to me Glock 17 gen 4 (Austria).
The frame appears warped,as you can see light between the slide and the lower, except at the muzzle area.

Is this normal?IMG_0117.jpg

I remember commenting on this when I worked for a Calgary retailer some years ago (this would be on the Gen 2/3 17's). Yes, it's normal and does not affect the function of the firearm.

I've owned three Glock 17's. All have suffered from pignose in the picture. Here's a fix if you are so inclined... (remove space between w's)

Ha!...when I scrolled down and saw the pic of the q-tips for the first time...I laughed out loud...thinking that was the fix...and that you shoot the gun with the q-tips "installed"! Stupid of course...but that was my first reaction...like the kid with the pencils up his nostrils. Talk about "pig nose".

Pretty cool!

That flops around worse than an AK47 barrel... I expect this video will go through my mind next time I'm shooting the 21. I always thought this curl was manufactured intentionally... not that it would provide much in the way of support to the slide and the rails. There are some interesting videos on that youtube channel.

OP It's not a Glock "lower", it's the frame/receiver.

Had to look at mine as soon as I read this thread, yup mine's like that too.

Just looked at the video, wow thats a lot of twisting/warping !
