Glock G22

Ok...here's the scoop. :D
The two Gen 3 G22's frames ARE DIFFERENT!!
One is a direct-from-Austria G22, and it has a slightly fatter grip than the "made in America" G22. Yes, folks...this is a new one on me. The "Austrian" G22 has the Austrian Nitro-Proof marks on the frame and slide, and the grip feels "fuller" than the "Smyrna" G22. Yes, they're both Gen 3 guns.
So there we are. :)

The slides are identical, just with different sights. The grip on the "Austrian" G22 is nowhere near the size of a G20/G21...more like the grip fills the web of the hand more. The "larger" grip G22 is still manageable for my hands, but it definitely has a larger feel to it. When both guns were laid one over the other, the front of the trigger guard looks further forward as well. When viewed side-by-side upside down, you can see the "swell" of the rear of the "Austrian" grip quite plainly.
Damndest thing.

Did You buy one, Sixstar ? I like the smaller grip better, but that one is more expensive and I don't know why ? I may go for the Baby Eagle. It looks very good and for 699 is a good deal.

The "other one" with the 'normal' sized grip is from the Glock factory in Smyrna, Georgia and is priced MSRP (retail). The "Austrian" one is a bit cheaper most likely because it's, well, from Austria. IMO it's a good buy at that price.
No, I didn't buy one. I think it's the first time I've ever handled a gun in a gunshop and come home without buying it. :p :D

sounds like a freakazoid glock..according to their history they started production in the USA before the glock 22 was even invented.
