Hello Everyone,

Any Glock G35 owners out there? I'd be interested in hearing your opinions on this gun. How it shoots, handles etc. Is there much difference between the
G35 and G22? Thanks for your help.

G35

I have been shooting one for years and love it. Prefere it over the G22 as there is less muzzle flip. Also depends what you want it for. I shoot IPSC Standard, and think it is great for that. Can't use it in Production, have a G17 for that.

Over the years I have aquired an after market barrel in both 9mm and 40 as well for my 35. Only other mod for me has been to replace front sight to fiber optic for the aging eyes.

By far my favorite pistol. You may have guessed I am just a bit biased.

G 35 is a great gun, no complaints - too bad we can't use them for IPSC Production like our friends to the south.

The superb G35 in 40S&W comes with many features that the G22 doesn't have. The longer barrel and sight radius adds to accuracy. Anyone seriously considering buying a G22 should reconsider and take a look at the G35.

Barrel length and sight radius are a myth. The only perceptible difference is the reduced muzzle flip due to the increased mass of a longer slide and barrel. Compared to standard framed Glocks, there isn't anything substantial to gain by running a long slide.

19 and 23's where not allowed in canada.... until recently.

and as far as CCW with an IWB holster it makes no difference the extra barrel length because the grip is the tough part to conceal.... and it is the same as a G17

In this quarters IDPA tactical journal they have a survey from the 2008 championship that covers what equipment what used. They break it down by manufacturer and then model. Glocks total was 102 with the 17 and 34 being most popular. The next closest manufacturer was S&W with 68. All the other manufacturers were in the low 2 digit or single digit for the most part.

because it's cheaper for sure and IDPA has no minor/major for caliber consideration, a 9mm is classed the same as a .40

for IPSC of course caliber consideration goes to the .40 for the major power factor.
