Glock G44 - Anyone have a review?

I have shot 3500 rounds through this beauty. I initially used Mini Mags for the first 500 rounds. I have shot Blazer 38 grain, 40 grain ,Remington Bucket of bullets, Winchester M22 and CCI standard velocity. I clean it after every range session and I have not had one failure to fire or eject. The only problem I have had is using the CCI Standard velocity around 20 percent of the time the slide will not lock to the rear on the final round. Not a big deal for me. All I know is when I pull the trigger it will go boom. This gun is amazing. If you can afford to purchase one I strongly recommend it.
 
I have similar experience to the above. About 1500 rds through mine. I have kept it to faster rounds. 1200 on average. Blazer CCI some federal black pack, all bulk pack stuff sitting between 36 and 40 grain. Normally putting 200 rds through per session. No real hiccups. The rare FTE / stovepipe that I would attribute to bulk ammo quality. Even that is only a couple instances. Fits my G17 bladetech holster fine. All and all very happy and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend one as a plinked or trainer for your G17 or 19.

OK, not reading the pages after the first, I have a G44 and it's a pretty fine .22 semi auto. Not the best because the Ruger Models I to IV are more accurate for over the counter guns, but I wanted something to replicate the operation of my other Glocks with cheaper ammo (then we hit the ammo slump, but anyway).

Big outstanding problem with my G44 is with the magazines. Load 10 rounds and the 10 round will almost automatically slump in such a way that it does not get picked up on a reload, you have to work the slide to eject that one and reload another, round 9 will probably but not always go. This is also a problem with more lightly loaded mags, push the tip of the end round so it's parallel with the other and not sticking out at an angle from the mag and you have a failure to load right there. And this is with the original mags and the official Glock extra ones I bought, at least as far as I can tell. I have to say it's a major flaw. Not a problem for casual shooting, major if you want to move around practicing things like tactical reloads and stuff.

I don't own a G44 but I shoot with 3 good friends who have them and I can say I have never heard of the problem you are experiencing? I know for a fact that all three of my friends have had zero problems with mags or feeding issues thru a bunch of speed steel matches. If I read correctly this is happening with multiple mags?
Last Sunday my friend Connie experienced the first failures she ever had in the six months or so she has had the gun, she was trying to run the bulk CCI Mini mags Cabelas is selling right now in the " Christmas " red and green powdercoated bullets. Her G44 just would not feed them, I suspect the powder coat was too thick because as soon as I lent her a few boxes of normal mini mags the problem immediately ceased.
I will check with my friends just to see if they have ever experienced what you are, very puzzling

Take a look at my post #34 in this thread. Does the nose down attitude of the 9th-10th rounds appear to be causing the issue that you are describing? I have not found any functional issues related to this myself. The small ramped tab at the front of the mag appears to help lift and guide the rounds. Does your ramped tab look the same as the ones in my pictures? I am wondering if there was a first gen mag that did not have the ramped tab, or maybe the profile was slightly different.

Yes my mags do have that ramp but I don't see how it's causing my problem. I'll have to check it out when I'm shooting but the ramp may be useful if my suspicion that advancing the top round a bit so the ramp holds it more nose out will solve the problem. If so it would not be ideal and no matter what I expected better things from Glock, however not reading about mine being a general problem so maybe the issue is with the 'cheap' ammo I've been shooting, bulk hollowpoints.
