Been wanting to upgrade my plastic sights.
To be honest i got a set of DP competition on their way and am not sure anymore since i have enjoyed my factory sights quite a bit (i know surprising huh?)

2000 rounds and many dry fire sessions later, my plastic sights are already getting dinged.
Ameriglo have caught my attention, sight dimension ressembles factory plastic ones too.

Although, i really enjoy my poa/poi with factory’s right now and am scared it will change.
At 20M, top of blade is poi.

I saw on forums, that say ameriglo, center of dot (as in driving the dot) is poi.
Can anyone confirm this?

Gen 5 specfic ameriglo is drivong the dot. Which to me is abnormal as i am used to the 6 oclock hold. Non gen 5 specific sights are 6 o clock hold.

In my mind, 6 oclock hold is image #1
What i am used to do is sight picture #2
Sight picture #3 is what i consider driving the dot (which is what you also seem to say), i find this one horrible to do good with.

My ammo used is 147gr
Using factory plastic sights (rear is marked at 6.1mm), i get sight picture #2 from 7M all the way to 20M (didn't test 25 yet)

Now i wonder, if like previous gens, there will be glock branded metal night sights.
Which have the same rear heights available than the plastic sights. As in 6.1mm, 6.5mm and so on...

I have a favor to ask you or anyone else here, with factory ameriglo sights
Can you measure with a caliper, distance between : slide and top of front sight, slide and top of rear sight

I could then check and see if the difference is the same as my factory sights and make my own conclusions
