What is a glock Gen 3.5 ? and I noticed is a for sale ad there was a 4th gen glock mentioned.....what are the differences from a Gen 3 ?

Glocks are not sweet. Glocks work. They're ugly. But they work.
A sweet handgun would be a Beretta 92FS or a Broomhandle. Or even a 1911.

But not the Glock. It's too monotonous.

Gen 3.5 might be the "smaller" otherwise Gen 3 Glocks, but no rail. (or are they Gen 2.5) There is no Gen 4 yet. (as of Jan 05) Maybe you're right, the handle "key lock" maybe Gen 3.5 or just an option for Gen 3

up to Gen3, 9mm glocks had two frame pins, and the 40 S&W and 357 SIG had three. IIRC the third pin was behind the locking block.

a Gen 3.5 9mm has the third pin, which made the medium frame 17/22/31 all compatible.

Regarding the Glock's physical looks, I've seen better looking roadkill.

Actually, the idea of Glock putting external safeties on their pistols is not new. They put 1911 styled "thumb locks" on quite a few before. I believe the Tazmanians (not the cartoon) bought them. I'm surprised the idea never caught on in the U.S. for those who don't like the (love it/hate it)'safe action' system. That is generally seen as one of the biggest hurdles in winning over the Americans who love their 'cocked and locked' 1911's. I have no idea what the .5 is though. Pure H/J

Um, maybe you can get electroshock therapy or something for that, thats just wrong. They work well, but they sure don't win any prizes for looks or character......Now a luger on the other hand.........
