I've mentioned before I'm working through the steps to bring my newly purchased Glock home.

I've done some searches for Glock disassembly, and have found a few videos in various places. Unfortunately they all seem to be poorly lit, too fast, fuzzy...you get the picture.

I'd like to do some of the simple upgrades on my new pistol when I get it, but I'm no expert, and I'm a tad worried I'll bugger something up while attempting a strip down and replacement of parts.

Is there a really good step by step, with enough detail for a total nube (with limited gun-smithing experience) that I can use with some degree of confidence.

Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks.

With something like on the order of 34 parts you'll soon be detail stripping & reassembling your Glock blindfolded...lol... ;)

Thanks everyone....some good places to start from.

I'm hoping in a few months I'll chuckle at my own concern...

here's a pointer: don't #### with your glock. put quality sights on it, and do not change anything else. it comes out of the box ready for use.

A Glock is very easy to strip, you basically can't mess anything up.

Great video, but there are a couple of mistakes in it.

#1 You shouldn't have to hammer out the frame pin. Just wiggle the slide stop a little and it should just push out. None of the other pins should require a hammer either.

#2 The extractor plunger was installed backwards. Metal end should go in first (push against the metal extractor) and the plastic end should push against the (plastic) end plate.
