My wife has been accompanying me to IPSC matches this year and expressed an interest in the sport. She is familiar with firearms, just never got into the competitive mode. We went to the range today, at her request, and she proceeded to fire off 220+ rounds in practice. She loves it, says it is a rush. She was also quite accurate and safe.

She enjoys shooting my Glock 22 with the 9mm barrel conversion. We have a problem though. She is a lefty. Does anyone know where I can get a fairly decent left handed holster? Does anyone make one?

Any suggestions, ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

If Blade Tec makes a left handed DOH (Dropped Offset Holster) that would be an excellent first holster for your wife...

There are a few suppliers around...where are you located?

Found one

I contacted Josko at Double Tap. There is a Blade Teck DOH on the way. Seems like the right one for her as the literature says it is especially suitable for females because of the adjustments available.

Thanks to Josko, he was very helpful. And thanks, also, to all the CGNers who made suggestions. I love this site!!

My wife is a lefty, when she was shooting production she used the Blade Teck DOH with a G22. You've made a good choice.

Remember that women can have their belt loops lower than men can. An easy way to drop them down is to cut the threads to the top of the belt loop, fold it down, and re-attach. Or you can take them off entirely and re-attach at the lowest legal point so they're comfortable. I highly recommend having her drop them down as she'll find it a lot easier to draw the gun from the holster as well as pull mags from the pouches.
