Hey guys,
Question for you....installed a 9mm caliber exchange kit on my g22... While shooting this morning, kept getting 'light strikes'....admitidly I was using up some Barnaul ammo, but my Cz shot it all without problems, even the ones the g22 wouldn't....
So..what do you recon...never missed a beat with the .40 where to start looking..and before any one asks, I didn't take any other brand 9mm with me...
Cheers

Thanks guys...that's kinda what I thought..but I'm no Glock expert...ill try again with reloads or factory and see what happens...otherwise..I'm liking the caliber exchange...

Did you get the Storm Lake or Lone Wolf barrel? I have a Storm I haven't tried out yet...and a bunch of KCI 9mm mags from Wolverine's sale.

Hey hitzy...it's the wolf...and I just bought 4 mags from gp tactical...site sponsor....under 30$ each..

Yup...it's the ammo. I had 2 cases of Barnaul that I'm finally down to my last 4 boxes. Makes for good practice (pressing the trigger and not tipping the muzzle to anticipate recoil) when one can get a misfire from a light primer strike at any time using a Glock.

In nearly all cases, reload and it'll fire on the second attempt.

I started having a ton of issues with Barnaul ammo in my G17 after I installed a 3.5 Ghost Rocket connector. Shoots everything else fine, but those Barnaul primers are HARD.

My PPQ eats it up tho!

WHAT? aren't glocks supposed to be unstoppable, insanely reliable and eat anything? Can't even shoot some barnaul?

Just kidding, I only want to annoy some glock fanboys :)

I'd just try some decent ammo and if the issue stops then you know the problem is just low quality ammo and not the gun.

Sure it's the ammo...didn't know about the hard primers....as I said, my cz75 sent them down range without any issues...that's the first stoppage of any kind with the g22...it's interesting though....

In my G21 after intalling the 3.5 pounds connector and spring. it would miss on Norinco 230 gr ammo, all other ammo are fine... JP.

I have a Lone Wolf 9mm conversion barrel in my G22 with no issues. Have not tried the Barnaul ammo and will not after this tread. Been shooting CCI ammo with no problem. Also have a 3.5 pound connector.

Probably the ammo unless you have installed a lighter striker spring to lighten the trigger pull or your stock Glock striker spring is a little tired.

If the primer is hard or a little high, that could also be a problem, but probably just the hard Russian primer.
