I just got back from a range session where I shot my new G35 in several different configurations.
First I dropped in a mercury filled guide rod ... that didn't seem to make much difference in accuracy, but I could feel some reduction in recoil.
Then I slipped on my Insight M3 light. Interestingly, the POI at 7 yds, shot two hands unsupported, did NOT shift much with the light on or off,
but the groups opened up significantly with the light on?
That doesn't make sense to me, so I'll redo the tests again later.
At 7 yds, the G35 is basically a one holer if I do my part.
At 25 yds, it will do 2" ... again shot two handed unsupported.
at 25 yds with a shoulder stock and the light, is does about 3 1/2".
WTF??? bigger groups with the shoulder stock than two hand unsupported?
NOT what I expected at all,
but this is why we go to the range ...
to test our new gear.
Right?
