I have a stripped Glock frame that was originally a complete gun that someone stripped for parts. I want to assemble the frame into a complete, functional pistol again. I encountered a very strange problem right away, and I hope someone here can determine the problem.
What is known about the frame:
1. it must have been born as a model 17 or 22 (full size), I tried inserting a 45 magazine and it would not fit.
2. it is early gen 3, as it has finger grooves and accessory rail, but has the old kinda protruding (not inletted) serial number plate.
3. serial number starts with DKK and 3 digits following and US suffix.
4. it is of course a 3 pin frame.
The perplexing problem is this: Glock locking block for 3 pin 9mm/40 full size (part # 1447) will not fit, and it's the only possible choice I can see.
I have a number of Glocks and have worked on many, but have never seen this before. I know a picture would help and I'll try and put one up tonight.
Addition: I just came across a bit more information. It appears this gun was probably made around 1998, and there is a locking block available which is for 3 pin G22's made prior to mid 2002. Part number 4354. Visually, it looks like this one would fit the space in the frame.
