on my g17 3rd generetion it is marked austria on the slide but on the frame it is marked(glock inc.smyrna.ga) are they all like that in canada?

US Glock has started to manufacture their own frames...
Allows them to fulfill some of the 'US manufacturer' requirements'.
They have gone to great lengths to ensure that the US made units are every bit the equal of the Austrian ones.

"Smyrna GA" AND "Made in Austria" means it's made for North American market, in my humble understanding. So yours is the old type I guess.
Without Smyrna GA and only "Made in Austria" means not made for North Am market. Harder to find, but not impossible. I had few, they are almost identical.
All of the above have serial # engraved also on the barrel (and slide?),
as per the EU laws.
I wonder if the new ones made in states for NA market will have the same.

They put that Smyrna, GA thing on to make the Americans think they are getting a US built pistol... :p

Heck, everyone knows all the parts are made in Austria. Might be assembled in the US but how long does it take to put 34 parts together to make a pistol... ;) :D
