This is my first visit to the dark side so my question is this: Do other manufacturers make mags for Glocks or do they have a monopoly? I've gotten nice stainless and nickle mags for my 1911's and double stacks from other companys but don't see anything else for Glock but Glock.
Thanks,
Mike

i've only seen glock oem that are fitted for 10 rds. Scherer makes normal cap ones.

For the most part, no. No one else makes mags for Glocks. Scherrer(sp?) does offer large capacity stick mags. Glock mags are nearly bomb proof with the exception of the followers. Often the corner breaks off from hard impacts and prevents the pistol from locking the slide to the rear when empty. Not a huge issue, the mags are usable and the followers can be changed out for a buck or two.

Stick with the factory mags.

They just plain work.

Good enough for me. Getting a G34 from Gunnar and looking forward to the look on some peoples faces when I hit the range. Never anti-Glock but I have been pro Sig and 1911's. Gotta give 'em a try I suppose and I like the idea of the slightly longer barrel. Now I'll have to pick up another 8 at least so who has the best price on the mags?

Good Choice

Good choice on the G34. Top Glock shooters use either the G34 or the G35 for a good reason.
Rather than buy a G34 outright, I elected instead to obtain Lone Wolf's new G34 upper. Fits right on my G17. The compete upper with all the parts, springs, recoil springs and the barrel was less than half the price of a new Glock34 @C$699.00.
Plus the LWD is a conventional lands&grooves barrel so I can shoot lead all day without worry.
I have yet to buy a G22 in 40. Should I decide to go down that road, the G35 is the way to go in 40 caliber.

I have the normal glock 10 rnd mags as well as the 15 rnd hi cap mags pinned to ten. The high caps are the best because it is really easy to load 10 rounds in it and stripping the first round is very easy as well. You can buy them at the glock store but you need a usa address.

Did you buy the upper in Canada or did you have to import it yourself ?

I'm not that manly as I use a Uplula mag loader :D I can toss them in as fast as I can pick them up. I usually go through at least a few hundred each outing and I need to protect my delicate guitar hands.
