Glock mags

I think i already know the answer but better to ask and make sure,Have the glock mags changed any along the way with the different generations of Glock guns.Will a mag that fits a 3rd gen Glock 17 still fit into the 4th gen Glock 17.

From what I understand, they will fit, but they won't work if you reverse the mag drop button on the frame.

AFAIK, the gen4 pistol is backwards compatible with gen3 mags, but gen4 mags will not work in a gen3 pistol

Yes they will, I've used my 9mm gen4 mags in a gen 3.

news to me...i thought there was a design difference, but honestly, I've never shot any gen 4 mags

Just a heads up, I shot my buddies gen 4 and tried to use my 4 gen 3.5 mags, didn't work worth a damn and his G17 was stock with mag release on left side as it comes from factory. I am not sure why I just know it didn't work with my mags, 2 used 2 new.

Gen 3.5 Glock mags are no different from Gen 3 mags, FYI.

Also remember, All Glock mags are BACKWARDS COMPARABLE - meaning you can use a Gen 4 mag in a Gen 1 gun, but not the other way around.

Good luck buying Gen 1 or 2 mags now anyways, so it shouldn't matter much.
