Glock - Models of perfection

Improved mag release button. Reversible. More ergonomic grip, better texture. Also I actually like the recoil spring assembly both of my gen4 G22 and 23 work just fine. It's nothing new tho - my G29 SF (gen3.5) had a dual recoil spring, and I'm pretty sure other compacts have it as well.

The mag release is a personal choice but one that can be altered on gen 3 guns. The reversibility is neat, but unnecessary. The grip didn't change, only the insert sizes allow for minor variations which again aren't necessary. The texture is nice and I would say is an improvement over the gen 3. The dual spring system is an improvement but again, not necessary. I wouldn't say the Gen 4 is way better than anything. Its simply the newest offering of extras offered by Glock from the factory.

I have a 19,26,and 29FS all in gen 3 and they work great. I don't see why they had to introduce the gen 4 other than to increase sales. Just my thoughts.

Merry Christmas

^ because M&P was eating up too much of their sales. gen4 make it more competitive. I prefer the to M&P's but I like M&P better than gen3 Glocks.

Spend plenty of time with the compacts, much prefer shooting the full size and compacts to sub compacts even in 9mm. Subs are great for carpet guys and white shirts though.

If I had to get a sub compact, the M&P is way nicer to shoot.
