Glock, newb question

I looking to buy a glock and want to know which one is the best bang for your buck/ reliable, I already own a Girsan beretta 92 clone so I want 9mm Due to I have lots of ammo. I have been looking them up but I just want other people's input. ( I've seen one :canadaFlag::canadaFlag:at the range and I'm itching to buy one ) :confused:
 
None are more reliable than Glock. I know of no one Glock that is more reliable or better value than another. Glock 17 gen 3/4 is a great start. You could get a gen 3 cheaper than a gen 4, so maybe there's some good value for you.
 
I have a Glock 17, M&P 9, and a CZSP01 shadow line, all great handguns with great reliability. I like them all but shoot the CZ best, not sure why but I'm just not as accurate with the Glock, perhaps it is just more practice needed. I also have a Glock 21 and don't think you can ever go wrong with a Glock, so for Glocks in 9mm I would go with the 17, but if you wanted more accuracy, take a close look at the 34.
 
Best bang for your buck glock is going to be the 17. Most commonly available 9mm in canada. Neither the 17, the 19, the 34, or the 26 are going to be more or less reliable. The only reason is say the 17 is because its the most readily available and there fore the cheapest. Not to mention the magpul glock mags are becoming more available here as well, and at 25 bucks a pop as opposed to 50, well you see where I'm going.
 
Some will say get a Glock22 and the Lone Wolf 40/9 conversion barrel so you can shoot both 9mm and .40S&W.
The G17/22 frame has a lot of accessories available and is a can't miss if you want a Glock!
I personally like the 19 but it may not work as well for people with big hands.
Gen 3 or 4 are all good. Whatever is cheapest. Glocks are made for use and abuse, not safe queens!
 
I say avoid the conversion game. You'll likely never shoot .40 and it's both expensive and snappier in recoil. Stick to a calibre you have, master it, and drive on.

Better gun glock 17

If you go for a glock buy one of the rtf2 glock 17's on the ee right now I wish I would have done that instead of my g22 rtf2
 
owned the m&p 40 for years, loved it. I wanted to get a fab defense KPOS, but didn't make them for m&p series....so I bought a glock

Now I have a glock 17 and a glock 22.......love them both...sold the M&P...never looked back..
So many aftermarket parts and upgrades for them, and they are exceptionally reliable...

I've got a 17,19,26 and 27 and there's no difference in reliability other than the fact that the 17 will probably never wear out as I hardly shoot it anymore.
 
Just bought my first Glock of the EE earlier today, Iam looking forward to its arrival, a near new 17 gen 4 for an unbelievable price.
I have a question though, I bought some KCI pinned 10 round mags a bit over a year ago while they were on sale in anticipation of someday owning a glock. I've read mixed reviews about them, Anyone have some input?

I don't mean to be blunt, but I'd turf them. I've never had a good run with KCI mags, and most that I've seen have good luck with them, didn't last very long. I'd sell em off on the EE and buy some glock OEM mags, or as I stated previously, some Magpul glock 17 mags.

Yea i was curious about that, but for the $15 I figured they might be worth a shot, I think I'll keep and eye out for some magpul

I've got a bunch and never had any issues with them other than one cracking when I dropped it on cement in -40 but it still worked fine.

I wouldn't waste my money on these IMO. I bought all factory Glock 10/17, 10/15 mags. These are stainless lined and have witness holes on the back. These are proven to work every time.
