Which would you choose if you were planning on using both calibers?

ie. P226/P229 vs Glock 22/23.

Also, the SIG only says the caliber on the bbl correct?

The thing with Glock is you could say... tomorrow I am going to buy a Glock 22 and then the day after a .357sig barrel for it.

:)

With the SiG I don't know if it is that easy... otherwise you can't go wrong with either.

Yes if you buy a SIG P226 in either 40S&W or 357SIG you can buy the other barrel and drop it right in. The mags of course are the same for both.

It comes down to your personal preference, feel and fit. Both are fantastic, reliable pistols, both also have quirks about them...eg Glock has a weird angle, Sigs have a thicker, roundish grip and higher center of bore...

I own and shoot a lot of handguns. In general, I prefer Glocks but in this case I would opt for the Sig. Why? I like my P228 that well and the P229 is the same size. In regard to 357Sig barrels, I ordered a 357 barrel for my Glock 23 yesterday from Lone Wolf Distributors in Idaho for $89.95 (US). Regards, Richard :D

I have the Sig Stainless in 9mm, I will either get a CPO Sig in .40 and a .357barrel or get a .40 slide and barrels

Barteldan, it more like .065", or 25 sheets lol... it is rather thin(still thicker than a 1911 .45), But countless full house reloads through mine haven't had an issue with it. I would like to get a .357 sig barrel though, because bulk jacketed bullets in 9mm are allot cheaper than .40(I cast my own anway). I have a few(500) 95grian .9mm soft point slugs I would like to try at 357 sig velocity too.
