Anybody know if someone makes ghost ring/peep sights for a glock that won't require modifying the slide? I saw some on a 1911 yesterday with a fiber optic front sight and it seemed great.

Next question. This type of set up would be allowed in production providing the slide was not modified right?

You mean like these?

At the moment, yes they are OK. They ae a fad however, they were quite popular about 5-6 years ago. No one I know uses them now, they aren't as accurate as post and notch and can cost you on long range targets.

Close to that dragoon but the ones I saw on the 1911 had a Diamond shaped peep ( I guess so you can align the sights better ) and the front sight was fiber optic. Maybe if I brouse their web sight they might have something more similar.

I tried them for 3 matches on my USP... they now sit in a box.. The box is taped shut.

If memory serves, the diamond shaped aperture was marketed by Caspian Arms a few years back. They went the way of the dinosaur for a very good reason, namely; you can't actually hit anything with them beyond ten meters or so. I suggest you spend your money on a good adjustable notch and post (fiber optic if you like) arrangement and forget the ghost ring.

good for shotgun? Not for pistol IMO.
Sure. With a shotgun you are pinning the gun at the shoulder and pinning your head to the gun, so the sight/eye relationship shouldn't change much if at all. And unless you're shooting slugs with it, minute-of-washtub accuracy is close enough with a scattergun.

Don't waste your money. They are ####. They work well on shotguns, but not handguns.

Get yourself a fibre optic front sight and then you are spending your money well.
