Looking to race out my Glock 17.

What can I do to this thing and still be legal for PD?

Where can I get parts connectors ext. mag release etc..

I would prefer to buy from a Canadian distributor but whatever.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know about legal for PD, but I've "tastefully" pimped out my Glock G17. At least, I think it's tasteful. And yeah, I've posted these pics before.:D
Before pimpage:

Magwell:

You will have to use Glock factory parts to stay in Production. So no Ghost connectors etc.

Yours is now out of Production because of the slide cover plate.

Check the rules for Prod Div - not much you really can/need to do. Extended mag release is nice, as are FO sights, or night sights, or adjustable sights.

1. WHY?
2. http://glockparts.com
3. FO sights, 3.5lb connector bar, extended mag release, grip tape. That's all thats worth doing, and all PD legal
4. DON'T change firing pin spring or "competition" trigger spring as you will fall below 5lb trigger pull - remember that I won "Open Unclassified" at the Nationals last year shooting a Glock 17...
5. extended slide stop caused me to rest my thumb on it and prevent slide lock/cause double feeds.

D'oh!! I would like to try IPSC etc at some point though. I don't care what class I end up in because I'm not going to be trying to beat anyone else, just myself.

Perfect attitude. Bring what you have, take the black badge - shoot for a while, and if you feel like you want to be really competitive, look to the niceties requried for the division you prefer. The punisher plate is pretty cool, BTW.

Thanks for the info. I don't think I will ever shoot PD with this. Just love to tinker with stuff.

Want to shoot a match in standard with this so magwell and trigger options info please.

Eventually I would like to make an open gun out of this. If I picked up a KKM barrell with comp would the slide and frame last? Any recommendations on a mount that uses the rail for cmore? Trigger component recommenations?

Very nice Mercury.
