Glock quality - Picture

The time doing so will greatly surpass it's value?

What does that even mean?
Is your time so valuable you can't even bother to send a couple emails? Seriously?
Not surprised to see a ridiculous post like this from you.

I'm not normally a concensus guy, but I feel like other posters have summed up this asinine post.

Newly purchased. Not fire yet.

Manually cycled and dry fired a few dozen times over a few weeks probably.

Safety plunger, which is plated, already flaking off.

Guess they had to save that 0.1 - 1 cent after all.

What a joke...

lol Yes, Joke, that's what I'm thinking... is this even a serious post? If that little wear on your Glock really got you in a tizzy as such...maybe find a new hobbie?
That won't keep you up @ night. Bird watching comes to mind. :) Cheerz!

You guys jumping on Rick911 for posting doesn’t read any better. Except for Gadget who make a good point and Ganderite’s comic relief. Hahaa. I was reminded of an acquaintance who will only buy guns with the last two digits of the serial number being prime numbers.

So you having a friend with bad OCD justifies his post? The initial post I can understand. It's saying how his time is to valuable to pursue getting a warranty replacement that makes me shake my head and feel free to ridicule him.

Also OCD can be a difficult thing to live with. I mean no disrespect on that count.

This gun has been shot 0 times. Plating is flaking off. Wake up...

So a few scratch on the doors and bumpers of your new car would not bother any one of you right ?

Does not affect its function.

Its not a Ferrari.

Its meant to be driven.

Right guys ?

The picture you showed shows normal wear and tear. You said you've racked it multiple times in a few weeks. That's use. There isn't a single striker fired polymer pistol in my safe, or cheap budget all steel pistol that doesn't have exactly what your showing. I suggest using oil or Greece. If it's not oiled you have a much higher chance of something wearing.

Keep you standards low.

You'll go far.

I'm out of here.

You purchased a Glock. Evidently your standards are just as low. It's your expectations that are too high. If that one part is slightly off, then just have them send you a new part. It's like a 30c piece of platted metal.

To make the comparison with a car more equal, compare it to a hidden area like in the Glock. Perhaps a wheel well. So, if my brand new car came with a scratch in an area that will see future scratches like a wheel well, yes, I will definitely not care one single bit. Even if it were a Ferrari.

Shot 0 times by the new owner, however every Glock I own has been test fired at the Glock factoy. And you said you have been dry firing, which would reqire you to rack the slide to reset the trigger each time. Even if your not firing a live round evey time you rack the slide that saftey plunger gets wear from the trigger bar sliding over it.

Im not sure if they do this anymore? Glock used to package the pistols with the 2 test fired casings in a little yellow envelope inside the Glock plastic container they come in

All of mine have way more wear then that on the saftey plungers, Gen5 I like a little better for this as its not round anymore and prevents rotaion, which IMO leads to a little less wear

I doubt Glock will do anything about that as is normal "for GLocks", but if it really bothers you that part is only $6.50 plus tax

A lot of the aftermarket ones are even worse for wear on the plating they come with
