Hello,
Thinking of replacing the factory plastic sights on my Glock 17 with something of higher quality but I am not sure whats available in Canada and where I can find it. Do you have any suggestions or thoughts on some decent sets that are out there?

Thanks!
Alex

Really? You've been here 5 years and 3000 posts and you haven't seen a single thread discussing sights or are unaware of the search function? Try the vendors above...

Anyways, for some actual helpful info...

Brownells and Zahal are my go to sources for Glock sights. Both out of country but ship fast and are excellent to deal with.

I really like the Ameriglo Hackathorns from Brownells

Zahal just has Meprolights but they are high quality super bright NS.

Bought the standard Trijicon three dot green night sights off Sporteque, not bad.

In hindsight though, night sights are not all they are cracked up to be. If I had to recommend sights to someone, I would say, go on Brownells and buy HEINIE sights, they have a "combat target" sight (blade only/non-adjustable) and the same thing but with three white dots. Much better then any night sight.

That or the Trijicon "HD Sights".

yes...order online from bownells awsome service quick shipping keep it under 100$ and they will ship to canada

My G17 wears Trijicon NS. I have no use for NS but they make it fun to run around the house clearing rooms in low lighting....just kidding of course.

Most aftermarket sights are better quality than the Glock stock. It also depends on what you're going to be using them for. My favorite are AmeriGlo's black sights as well as their CAP set. Trijicon HD of course, orange more than yellow.;)

I don't see a need or use to pay the extra money for night sights for my range guns. I have Ameriglo Defoor sights on one of my Glocks that I've used a lot for IDPA and a little IPSC, and they work great.

I have some Hackathorn sights I'm going to put on though, just because I have them. I also used them at one of Ken's classes a couple years ago and was really impressed. Eventually, I'd like to try the CAP sights as well.

For a work or carry gun, I'd go with the Trijicon HD's, or the Hackathorns.
