When I look at the IRG site, it seems their prices are quite a bit more than ‘local’ prices. Is that because of the ‘luxury’ of IRG importing models before we can get them locally, or am I missing something?

When our exchange is good the prices reflect it, right now it's not great. Having said that, often IRG will have things available that you wouldn't be able to get up here otherwise.

Are you specifically speaking towards the G17 Gen5 Glocks? IRG's has them on for $565 USD which is $710 CAD at today's rate.

You'll rarely find items cheaper locally but it does happen from time to time.

I just picked up a Glock 17 Gen 5 AmeriGlo from Rangeview Sports in Newmarket. They just got them in. Their Glock Gen 5's were also all made in Austria.

Rampart sold all their G17 gen5 last week but you have to be a Shield member.
I'm still waiting for them to get the G19 Canadian edition but it's been delayed since december.
