Glock sight pusher

I've done two sets of sights on Glocks and never used anything more than my bench vise, brass punch and hammer.

The sight pusher is easier, but they're way too expensive for me.

Brownells has a couple different models. I bought one for my Beretta 92, works good. You have to order gun specific. One model is manu. by Trijicon, Cat. # 892-103-102AA for Glock, $130.10 or if you whine a bit to them gunsmith price,$101.97.
The other one they have is made by MGW Cat. # 584-045-017AA ,$105.71 or gunsmith price,$78.30. These sight pushers are on page 330 of their 2007-2008 catalogue. Good time to buy with strong Can. dollar. Got mine a couple years ago, so it cost a bit more. Worth it though, no more punch and hammer.
I use the MGW one, they are built really strong.

MGW makes one for "high" sights for the Glock like the Hienie's. The factory Glock sight pusher will not work well (or at all) on the higher sights. I had the adjustable Meprolight rear sights to put on my Glock and had to resort to the Hesco sight pusher which is a monster (bench mounted)and costs around $300 but luckily my Glock armorer had one.

If you pound on adjustable sights, you may damage or break them, so the pusher is the way to go if possible.

"...If you pound on adjustable sights..." You're nuts in the head. That's why they're called adjustable. They adjust with a screwdriver. Sight pushers are for fixed rear sights.
I'm working on a design for a home-made, .45, rear sight sight pusher that involves a hunk of internal, leather padded, square, steel, tubing and a T-bolt with a thin leather pad. Thoughts and/or suggestions are welcome.

Sight pushers are also for installing adjustable sights into the dovetail. They don't always "slide in" easily or at all. I have seen more than a few people try to smash their adjustables into the dovetail.
