Hey,

I was looking at some Trijicon sight sets for $99.99 at Brownell's. i was going to buy these but then I noticed that you need the sight tool for $159.99 to install. Is there any sights you can buy that you don't need to buy any tooling for. Also is there a tool needed to remove the old factory Glock fixed sights? Thanks

I just removed my factory rear one with a nylon punch, I think the punch was $1.50. I installed a steel rear sight, and I used a brass punch, again, about a $1.50.

The Factory front sight you can remove with a pair of pliers, it is wrecked after that.....oh well. The Fibre Optic front that I installed used a tiny screw, and I had to modify the correct sized Nut Driver, the outside edge was to big to fit in the groove, so I ground it down, again about a $1.50 for the Nut Driver.

You can spend the money for the sight pusher, but you really don't need it. IMHO

Call TSE... They have TruGlo Tritium/Fibre Optic sights for $125 and will install them for $25.

I just got these installed on my Glock 22 and they are excellent. Brighter in the night than the Trijicon sights because they channel the tritium down the fibre optic rod.

Overall you will get a better sight and won't pay the shipping fee.

The beauty of a sight pusher comes not in the installation, but in the much finer adjustment available when dialing in the windage, as opposed to 'tap and curse' with a punch.

Not sure how you got your rear sight in with a punch. I tried and got it in a quarter of the way and now its really tough to move, I fear if I hit it with a punch harder it will dent our gouge the sight.... ????

Is there anyone that can help me with this? please?

Where are you located?
Anywhere close to Okotoks/Calgary?
If so, drop me a pm - I have the Glockmeister sight tool - removal is a breeze.
