A friend recommended a place to buy some grip/skate tape for my glock but I completely forgot.

Can you guys recommend someone in SW Ontario that sells what I am looking for? Also, can you post pics of yours, I'm a little confused about how much of the grip gets covered and where.

Thanks

Canadian Tire had some in the other day...it's just "safety tape" for pools, ladders, steps. There was two sizes one was like 1/2 inch wide and the other was like 3/4" or so.

Another good place to check is the "Shoppers Drugmart Home Healthcare" on Fairview Street, where they sell wheelchairs, walkers and safety junk for old folks and people with disabilities. They'd most likely have that.

Good Luck

How much do you need I have a chit load of grip I could send you!!

PM me your address if its not alot you need I could ship you some.

I used to get paid to skateboard so my garage is full of skate stuff.

I have seen different grits on various tapes.

Some of the ones intended for stair treads use a coarser grit than some of the tapes intended for skateboards. The finer grits will tend to be more comfortable on your hands and grip your skin better because of more points of contact.

Check out the IPSC handgun rules online. There are pictures of what can/can't be taped on a Prod Div gun. If it's for shooting other than that, tape as much as you like.

Well, it won't be for IPSC, but do you need to tape the whole grip? I see some guys only put strips on certain parts?

I was thinking a strip inbetween each finger groove, one along the backstrap, and then a wider strip on each side of the grips.

I think there is a skate shop on my way home from work, I am off early tomorrow so I will probably stop be there.

I guess you need to ask yourself WHY you want to tape your grip.
I only have it on my IPSC gun. On those hot humid summer days it helps a little bit when your hands get wet and your grip seems to shift a little. When I'm shooting my other guns (not in a match) and my hands get wet from sweat and humidity, I just put the gun down, towel off, and continue. So why exactly do you think you need tape?

Degrease the frame. Cut skateboard tape to fit.

You can order CNC cut sheets from Brownells as well, but it's not hard to cut your own.
