Glock slides interchangable between diferent generations?

i think that gen 4 slides have a different cut for the guide rod in front
the hole is bigger, and you might not be able to put gen 3 slides.
 
I don't think so, but I may be wrong. Is that ambiguous enough for you? :D

This just in.....

The short answer is yes.

Gen4 recoil spring won't fit a Gen3 slide
Gen3 recoil spring won't fit a Gen4 slide
Gen3 trigger housing won't fit a Gen4 frame w/out modification

Connectors and trigger springs are fine
