Without actually purchasing a whole gun has anyone purchased a Glock slide from somewhere? If you can share some detail here I would be grateful.

Looking for a Glock 29 slide, for my Glock 30 as they have the same frame.
The barrel I'll get elsewhere.
In 357Sig.

oh....I misread your post, or didn't completely read it.

My bad.

Brownells doesn't have these marked as restricted for export....so maybe thats an option

I picked up a complete gen 4 22 upper right here. They do come up from time to time, albeit with a 29 slide you might grow old waiting for one...

I bought a G17 slide from Glock in Georgia to convert a G17L to a G17, but I'm pretty sure that pre-iTAR days...

By the way, if you put enough rounds thru a Glock the slide can fracture. Wayne Novak correctly calls them
"glass-hard". Since most users will never experience this issue Glock is reluctant to change the surface treatment
which has so many other great advantages.
It's only competitive shooters and spec-op "operators" who will put enough rounds thru one to discover this.

I've had Glock in Georgia replace two slides for myself and one for a friend under secret extended warranty.

The signature of a cracked slide is that the POA/POI relationship suddenly changes windage by say 8 inches at 20 yards.
The crack forms at the back/rear of the ejection port, extending downwards to the bottom edge of the slide.
(thinnest part of the slide under the highest stress).

ITAR has an exemption for warranty replacement parts.

Sporteque has a Glock G27 slide in stock. But, really...it's cheaper to buy the complete gun, keep the slide assembly and sell the frame on the EE.

I saw this on an early first Gen gun (early enough it didn't have the serial number on the frame) that was used as a range gun. One of the club members said it was shooting off and I thought it was just him, sure enough it was hitting to the left, about 6" @ 10m, checked the gun and it was cracked exactly as you describe.
But to be honest ANY pistol with that high of a round count will eventually crack the slide if not the frame. I've seen both on high usage pistols of various makes.

LW takes a very long time to get it through questar...6 months or so.
so to glockstore and call in irunguns for a favor.
