Glock spring wear ?

Okay... So it's not spring time fashion for my Glock but I was wondering is it bad for the magazine spring if I keep it loaded for a prolonged period of time?

Ammo and pistol are stored and locked away seperaterly.

Yes, more than fine to leave it under compression. It's the repeated compression/decompression (lack of better words) of the spring that wears it out.

Actually I do this regularly as the springs on my Glock 17 are really stiff and it's difficult to load the 10th round so it helps
