Glock = suck

I can't say much for the sub compacts. I have a g17 and g21. Appartently the g21 is the worst one made...which ironically is shoots flawlessly, mainly because i don't limp wrist it...Go take a pistol course.

YOU fit the GLOCK, not the other way around.

Quit your #####ing about how it's uncomfortable or doesn't feel right. Grow a pair, you bunch of pansies.

Not an auto expert but I've shot a fair assortment over the years. When I bought, I bought a Glock G21. My experience has been ....flawless.

My observations are that the Glock has been developed with ergonomics in mind, but, you may find it more comfortable if you have bigger hands or a strong grip because it's a double stack magazine.

For example, a friend of mine loathes handguns with bigger grips because he can't hold them well and consequently is less comfortable and effective with them. He has smaller hands. Whereas I am less comfortable with single stack auto's and smaller frame revolvers because my hand tends to wrap too far around them. I have large hands.

Not saying either of us cannot handle bigger or smaller - just that we have more comfort with our respective preferences.

To the original poster, with all due respect, look into some lessons. You may not be doing everything right and this could be a source of some of the problems you are having. Factory ammunition, autos are fussier and handloads that shoot in one pistol may not cycle well in another. Failing this take it to a Glock gunsmith.

After you get it shooting buy 1000 rounds and practice with it. IME that's what it takes me to get really comfortable with a specific handgun.

At this point if you still just don't like it - sell it.

The only time I have seen a glock weakly eject the shells straight back was when I saw a 10 year old kid shooting a gun for the first time, his grip was very weak, but the gun still functioned.

I've never heard of a cheering squad on the heavier caliber ones, except the Glock Fooortey (Cops)..Glock 17 & 19 are flawless when it comes to performance, not saying they were the most consistent outhere.

If you go for .45 get a 1911 :)

I'd guess somethings wrong with your Glock. I have a Glock 27 with a ported barrel in .357SIG......my only complaint is that it is a bit snappy and the grip is too small for my hand - what can you do, its the nature of the little beast! I put a grip extension on the mag and a hogue slip on grip which has helped a lot - actually made a huge difference. Sounds like your problem might be a grip problem and the mag extension might help - especially if your last two fingers fall off the end of the grip (for me I'd say they account for at least 70% of my grip and have to compensate by squeezing with my left top two fingers and palm).

Next week the Glock cult will be burning Armedsask in Effigy (which is just south of Saskatoon) despite the fact that he's a really knowledgeable guy who has excercised his Charter right to an opinion. :D

Well, there is definitely something wrong with a Glock 21SF with Ambi. release. With the slide forward, insert a full mag.. It is a pain in the a$$. Now try to release the mag.. You have to bear down on the gun for it to release. This is not normal. This has nothing to do with wearing in springs. I am confident it is a ambi. mag. release issue with this model and it deserves a recall.

I will try and bring some facts to light:

A) Casings barrely ejecting: Make sure you are holding it with a high grip, it help with limp wrists. I can make my G17 do that just by changing my grip, I have shown some people this, it's very predictable. It surprised me the first time, the casing actually got caught in the action.

B) Slide release: well it was never intented as a slide 'release', it's a slide catch, you should be releasing it by racking the slide. If not an aftermarket slide release may help. I can operate it on my G17, but the recoil spring is likely softer due to the longer slide.

Added for humor: Should have bought an XCR :D

This is a good grip (Thanks Faqmat, borrowed from Glock grip thread)

This is likely to cause limp wristing and soft ejection (Thanks Onagoth for this pic also from the G17 proper grip thread)

Heaven forbid someone should criticize a glock. Sound like most of the glock lovers have ingested Gaston's progeny through oral ingratiation:p:eek:

It's not like you had anything productive to say.My ice cream is the wrong temperature........Waaahhhh......:)

Actually yes.... I posted about my experiences with Glocks. I simply stated they are not for me and offered some suggestions to address the issues in Armedsask's post. All anyone has to do to see what you have offered for your "bigmouth" status on CGN is look at your other posts (especially if they want to waste their time).

Your posts here have been derogatory towards anyone who does not like Glock. Wow.....what a helpful fellow you have been. You are certainly a model spokesman for the firearms community. I am so proud of CGN members like you. Keep up the good work.

Regards,
