I’ve had my 48 a little over a year & 5200 rounds. It’s a great little pistol, accurate, easy shooting for it’s size, triggers are significantly better than previous generations. I have a red dot mounted on an Outer Impact dovetail mounting plate, and it’s been a perfect solution. I was unsure if I would like a RDS on a pistol and didn’t want to spend a bunch of money getting the slide milled, not like it, and then not be able to find another slide. It sits very low, is a very rigid plate, no loss of zero in over 3000 rounds so far, and I rack the slide constantly use the red dot. Very limited overhang, and it has never interfered with drawing or shooting...never notice it

That sounds good ! I understand there are red dots that are narrow enough for the slimmer frame . I’ll be going this way for sure . Interesting mounting solution to milling the slide . I haven’t heard of anyone else doing that , very smart .

It’s a good solution and works well if you don’t want to permanently change your slide, there are a few different companies that make them, I have one from Strike Industries. You loose your rear sight doing it this way, so no co witness, but I’m ok with that as it’s only a range gun in Canada lol, not like it’s a carry gun like in the good old USA
I have one on a G34 and it works well

I’m not looking for any of that and I’m sure they do a good job. But I still am not interested in paying roughly $20 for shipping on top of the price from a place in my own country. I ordered parts from Brownells in the states to Ontario for only $9 shipping and good prices on quality parts.

UPDATE****

Well all , my 48 is now in the hands of Black Box Customs . Visited their shop and two hours later , I’ve chosen lots of modifications .
I recommend anyone who can visit them so you can see and handle their work ....it’s fantastic !
Customer service was great . Devon made my first experience with them an absolute joy , he knows his products inside out and is a patient and creative guide . I was able to handle pretty much EVERYTHING that Black Box can do to a Glock so I know exactly how their work feels in hand . I had no idea a trigger guard undercut would make my pistol fit my hand so perfectly .

I feel like a kid at Christmas ....this is very exciting !

That's Awesome. Devon and the rest of guys are very customer focused and knowledgeable. They did my G19 and I hope to do a G17 with them as well.
It's addictive.
Enjoy the journey!!!

Thank you , it’s a real treat for me . This is my first Glock and it’s an excellent beginning .

Emailed em a couple of times and response was fast and complete, they sadly didn't have the parts I need, but considering the actual state of things, it's understandable... They sure are a nice group to deal with for sure!

Let us see your new project when you get it back!

If I can figure out one of those damn picture hosting things I will . I’ve had no success with posting pics online so far ...but I’m not tech savvy .
