I'm playing around with the idea of getting some form of SMG or PDW setup.
I have seen a PWD conversion for Glocks offered by Fabsports by a company called CAA.
I'm interested to see if there are any other companies out there offering a similar type of system.
This would be used on a Glock 22C if that matters.

You can get Tactical Scope Mounts and simpler butt stocks for Glocks for way less $$.
Questar sold the butt stocks at one point.

That piece of plastic is 1/2 the cost of a CX-4 storm.

But way cheaper than an AR in 9mm.

My G20 10mm is lighter & simpler, Fab telescoping stock, Dbl mag pouch, fab optic mount, Burris fastfire, folding foregrip, 6" lone wolf bbl. Helps tame the 10mm for really fast follow up shots!

Its an alternative to an SMG option that I am considering.
Good to see some local gun nuts :p

I also found this one as well.

I think I like the one offered by Fab Sports better. Has anyone had any hands on experience with these types of stocks?

The stock comes on & off in seconds, Lines up the reddot nicer than the iron sites due to a higher cheek weld. The folding grip is nice & they really tame down the full power 10mm loads!! Here's my experience with my stock.....

Pretty impressive.

I have used the stock kit that mp5k has and I was not overly impressed with it. I'm looking to basically convert a Glock into a pistol caliber SMG style gun.

After further research I think that there HERA Arms GCC conversion kit would be the most suitable. You can combined this stock with up to a 16" barrel for carbine like accuracy. The only think I would not like is to have a thin 16" barrel sticking out of the end. I think I would purchase a barrel shroud for this to complete the look.

There is a member on CGN selling this particular stock so I will see if I can work out a deal with that member, if not then I will be looking at picking one up through a dealer.

Potential to make it non-restricted in that first pic?

I don't think you could as you are physically putting the Glock in a frame, not really changing it into a rifle. It would be great if we could some how make a Glock into a non-restricted. I've always wanted to take my handguns into the bush when camping to do plinking but unfortunately I abide by the laws :p

Once a pistol, always a pistol. The FAB was the closest to a 10mm carbine i could get, Id love to check out your kit with a 16" bbl. Mine is wicked accurate with the Lone wolf 6" bbl & Handloads.

I did the exact same setup on my G21, except with a threaded barrel and a vortex from TacOrd, I loved it--but sold it once I got my UMP. Very cost effective and super fun.

Watch for the Magpul FPG 9 (formerly named FMG 9) to be coming out in 2010. I'm sure some more news about it will be coming at ShotShow.
