Target Sports Canada will be hosting a Glock Armorers course April 13, 2010 at our facility. This course is open to Glock stocking dealers and members of Law Enforcement for attendance, others may be eligible also but this will be determined by GLOCK USA due to ITAR regulations. Those who wish to attend must register at www.glocktraining.com , we look forward to your attendance at this event. Please also be aware that other courses will also be running at our facility in 2010, and will be announced once confirmed.

The ShootingEdge has a projected date of June 22, 2010 to host a Glock Armorers course, once confirmed further announcements will be made.

Interested... but don't see anything listed on the Glock site for that date in Canada...

Sorry I am not in the elite class to be eligible for this training. Maybe this should be posted in blueline not here.

We do not set the requirements for these or many other courses that we host or attend, actually and people are eligible - Glock Stocking Dealers/LE & MIL for this course, we are sympathetic to you and others regarding these issues but must meet all the requirements set out by Glock and the US State Department.

I understand but maybe shoving this in the face of 55,000 CIVILIAN CANADIAN gun owners might not be prudent.

I do not believe that is the intention of showing this course to us, many on this board are members of police services/military/private security companies/stocking dealers that can attend, other courses have similiar requirments and I would not presume to take offense based on those parameters, many US based courses have these type of requirements even for US citizens.

I'm thinking of putting this with my ee posts.

How does it make you feel?

Your point is made but this dealer and others pay to use this site to further sales, Wolverine Supplies/The Shooting Edge/Tetragon and others sell many items that we cannot purchase due to legal requirements or contracts that they have signed, I due not feel slighted in the least when that occurs:)

p.s. Colt Canada will not let me sit in on an armorers course, even though they are located about an hour away from me and in Canada, upside I can take the same course from Arwenace without any issues.

I for one am not thrilled with the US State department choosing whether or not a Canadian Citizen is able to get Armorer training. I was very interested in this course and after some research it appears that Members for the GSSF (Glock Sport Shooting Federation) may be eligible for this course. I am still waiting on verification of that.

FYI GSSF membership is 35.00 and also qualifies you for a once a year discount on a Glock pistol & Magazines at the LE Price

Drawback ? Canadians need to apply for DSP-83 approval before you can even put in an application for the course and that can take up to 8 weeks. Pretty much no point in applying for the DSP-83 with this course being in 6 weeks.

just find someone who has taken the course before and let em run you thru it. The first course is about as complex as lego building much like the glock itself. Thats how i picked up a copy of the glock curiculum and instruction.

Yeah but that doesn't get you the nice Wall Mountable Certificate :)

The Armorers course is also available through AGI or torrents if you look hard enough..........
