Glock trigger pull with 3.5# disconnect and NY1 trigger spring

So, wasn't really planning on making any modifications to the trigger group in my glock, but I wanted to see if I could tell a difference between stock and modified. (the parts aren't overly expensive, so what the hell)

To start, my glock had a trigger pull of around 8lbs, felt bad compared to my rifles and was hard to get used to.

After installing these items, the trigger pull was still around 8lbs, but the creep and reset seemed improved (dry fire only).

My question is, should these parts not have improved the trigger weight, to say around 5.5 lbs???

Note: Currently, I use a fish scale to test trigger weights, normally not a problem, but with the glock trigger safety, some weird angles have to be used. Could this have affected my trigger pull readings?

not true, the ny1 spring and 3.5# connector is used by ALOT of people, changes the feel of the trigger to more revolver like PLUS it has the added benefit of if the spring breaks the plastic housing will reset the trigger.

and yes it will work outto around 8#'s.... the 3.5# connector gives a trigger pull of around 5lbs but is sproingy.... the ny1 connector takes the sproing out and makes it an even pull throughout.

Cool, just wanted to make sure, IIRC, I read somewhere the trigger pull would be around 5 lbs, but I must of mistaken that with just the disconnector, and not with the complimenting NY1 spring.

I'll test out live firing soon enough, see how much difference it makes.

BTW, anyone else have trouble with the trigger pin, its one tough pin to remove, even with a punch and wiggling the slide stop lever.
 
I put a Lone Wolf 3.5# connector (without the NY1 spring) on my G21 and didn't like it at all.

It felt very mushy after I did that and took it out.
 
From what I've read, if you don't care to qualify for production in IPSC, get thee a Ghost Rocket trigger kit.
 
the ghost rocket connectors are great.... they have an adjustable overtravel stop.... adjustable by grinding off a tab slowly and multiple test fittings.

I have one in my current G17 and it works well, but unless you have the orange rear slide plate they are a pain to install.

It's actually more of a side to side (forward then back) motion with pressure being applied to the pin. Comes out easily and quick; it can be a pain before you get the technique down.
